Reina Del Sol Colt

J

Reina Del Sol's colt is the born-broke type, just like his mama. From day one, he loves and expects personal interaction with people, always eager to be petted or groomed. He has exceptional type, the perfect choice as a family horse to do everything from team penning and team sorting to roping to barrels to western dressage. Top all-around prospect.

His dam is our favorite 100% NFQHA Foundation mare, Jaz Reina Del Sol (Queen of the Sun.) She literally was born-broke. Her first time under saddle resembled the aptitude and behavior of a nearly finished horse. Walk, Trot, Canter both directions, obstacles, tarps, riding out and even stood unwavering at the crack of a bull whip! In one week, she was working cows! Reina has unequalled temperament...until now! Reina is line-bred Poco Bueno featuring foundation greats such as Bains Showdown Dun, Poco Ojos Grande, Little Steel Dust, RF Tee J Steel Dust and Jackie Bee.

Reina's colt is sired by our NFQHA treasure, Jaz Poco Zorro, 100% NFQHA.*  Zorro's pedigree is highly regarded some of the best of Poco Bueno, King, Beaver Creek and the great NFQHA producer, Little Steel Dust. Most importantly, this colt doubles up both top and bottom of his pedigree with arguably the greatest Foundation broodmare of all time, Bains Showdown Dun. All-round/roping/versatility prospect! Solid conformation, correct limbs and built like a tank. This colt is 100% NFQHA foundation. Should mature to 14.3 hands.

Bred to excel at any ranching discipline. All Cerulean foals receive vitamin/minerals, grain, any required supplements, are on a routine deworming/vaccination/farrier schedule. Priced at $6,500 pre weaning.

*The National Foundation Quarter Horse is the unaltered original Quarter Horse that settled the American West. The American Bulldog Quarter Horse worked rigorous endless days on rugged terrain sprinting to sort and pen cattle, rope, herd and pack. The breed is prized for fierce bravery, cow-sense, intelligence, hardiness, superior athleticism and unequalled calm temperament. The NRHA, ARHA and NCHA have modeled modern AQHA-recognized ranch horse show classes after daily ranch life of the American Bulldog Quarter Horse.

Cerulean Farm's NFQHA bulldog stallion solidifies Bulldog type, ample bone, strong, roomy hooves, world-class bloodlines and a 10+ temperament. His exceptionally balanced conformation, deep haunches, well-angled shoulder and hind limbs produce dressage-like movement, elasticity and superior athleticism/versatility. He competed successfully in team penning and team sorting.
