"Pearl" has exceeded our expectations in every way. Not only is she supremely bred top and bottom, she nearly has complete outcross bloodlines. Pearl has big, uphill movement with great length of stride and throughness which would be highly rewarded in competition. She loves to jump! This filly will be versatile with equal aptitude for dressage, jumping, eventing, foxhunting and many other disciplines as well as being a future cornerstone of a stellar Irish Draught and Sport Horse breeding program.

Pearl's pedigree combines some of the best Irish Draught lines. Pearl's dam is particularly desirable. Her dam, Padi's Classic Design, RID, is one of very few purebred Mountain Pearl, RID daughters still producing in the US. She is highly regarded internationally for her traditional type, conformation, size, movement, jump and temperament. Padi's Classic Design, RID (Lia) is out of Imported Loguestown Classic, RID, one of the most exceptional traditional mares in this country. Lia's sire is the world-renown, Mountain Pearl, RID. Mountain Pearl was known for his scopey jump and amateur-friendly temperament which he consistently passed onto his progeny. Mountain Pearl was compaigned in the US in Eventing, Dressage and Jumping shows before exported to back to Ireland. He also famously represented the Irish Draught in National Equine Symposiums. We had the good fortune to witness one of his demos at the Equine Affair in Louisville, KY. That temperament and top rate scope and jumping form are forever etched in my mind.

Pearl's sire, Bridon Belfrey, RID has the other Grade A International Show Jumper, Flagmount King, RID in his pedigree. Bridon Belfrey, RID comes from very strong distinguished jumping lines of Laughton, Tara, Skippy, Atlantic Boy, Rusheen Hero and infamous, King of Diamonds. Belfrey’s dam, Flagmount Belle, RID, won numerous IDHS(NA) championships and earned the prestigious title of Irish Draught Champion of North America. Her flawless conformation destined all of her foals to win IDHS(NA) Champion or Reserve Champion Foal. Belfrey's grand dam is the all-time greatest producing dam of Approved RID stallion sons in Irish Draught history, Gowran Betty, RID. Gowran Betty, RID paired with one of the most notable jumping sires, King of Diamonds, made headlines with 7 Approved Registered Irish Draught stallions.
